Product Design Project

$200 per hour

Design an app or responsive website centered around the student’s strengths and interests. The scope can be 0-1, feature iteration on an existing product, or website revamp for a local business. I am also open to facilitating projects beyond a digital interface.

Students applying themselves to the design process require hands-on experience and critical thinking to produce intentional and useful outcomes. For young designers, AI is only useful after understanding how good products are designed and built. Therefore, it is only used during implementation.

Deliverables:

  1. Case study deck

  2. Design system

  3. High-fidelity prototype

  4. Live product

  5. Pitch deck or video (optional)

Tools:

  1. Google Suite

  2. Figma

  3. GitHub

Criteria

  • 14+, unless the student has demonstrated proficiency in basic design tools: Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.

  • Minimum of 6 weeks, but may be longer depending on the student’s needs and interests. The course is complete after required deliverables are complete.

  • Students will need a laptop, preferably MacBook
