The mechanics of interviews are easy, but managing your emotions during the interview is difficult. I approach interviews similar to how an actor builds intuition for improv or auditions for a new role.

I start by blending my students’ projects and work experiences to the language of relevant job descriptions. Then, I create the resume by organizing information in a clean and simple layout that fits one page.

For interviews, I identify common questions from their target roles. The resume and common questions become the foundation of a customized framework to anchor their responses, which simplifies and streamlines their thought process to alleviate interview anxiety.
